The 12 Romanian brands that participated enjoyed remarkable success, strengthening their position in a market that shows great promise.

At its third consecutive participation, the Romanian brand House of VLAdiLA presented the collection “Love is”, a bold and authentic tribute to love in all its forms – a visual manifesto on the universality of love and art. Visitors from all over the world deeply resonated with the message, and the exhibition space was constantly filled with architects, designers, resellers, and lovers of beauty alike. Simex returned to Index Dubai with great success. Its pieces fit perfectly within the new concept of the National Pavilion, reflecting its values: classic elegance, quality, and tradition in solid wood craftsmanship. The company’s booth became a key attraction at the event. A veteran of this exhibition, Amik Wooden Toys reaffirmed its established position in the MENA market, strengthening existing collaborations and forming new partnerships for its highly appreciated children’s wooden furniture and toys. At its third INDEX Dubai appearance, Antares – internationally known for ergonomic and comfortable office chairs – impressed once again. Its representatives believe Dubai is steadily consolidating its role as a key regional hub for investment in the Gulf Region, and Romania’s presence with a National Pavilion sends a clear message about the potential and competitiveness of the Romanian furniture industry. Lignum also returned to INDEX Dubai with high hopes, stating that this year’s experience was excellent thanks to the organization, pavilion design, and products on display. They reported receiving numerous pieces of feedback from visitors who said Romanian products ranked among the best presented at the event. Also participating for the second time in Dubai, Transilvan showcased a new furniture collection that quickly stood out. Professionals and visitors alike were impressed by the dining table with integrated smart devices and the modern chairs accompanying it. Making its debut at INDEX, Mozea‘s representatives expressed delight at engaging with people who deeply connected with their work, noting that there is something special about how design is appreciated here – with attention, curiosity, and a clear eye for quality. Erisse also met the Middle Eastern public for the first time, but its pieces seemed perfectly integrated into the regional aesthetic, so success came naturally. Luiss, presenting its sleep and relaxation furniture for the first time in Dubai, attracted public attention with its elegant yet modern beds, perfectly staged in an impeccably designed booth. Representatives from Mozaic Vitralii, Catrinel Săbăciag, and Large Globes also enjoyed strong visitor interest, admiration, and the potential for new collaborations and partnerships. They expressed their enthusiasm for the participation, the audience, and the new opportunities that opened up in the Middle Eastern market.

The Romanian companies present at INDEX Dubai 2025 were visited by nearly 1,700 businesses – from distributors and developers to architecture and interior design studios – primarily from the United Arab Emirates, but also from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Libya, Lebanon, Kuwait, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Morocco, Syria, Japan, Kenya, Iran, India, Pakistan, Italy, France, Jordan, and the UK.

This marks Romania’s 4th participation in the largest industry event in the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa). Last year, Romania’s furniture exports to this market exceeded 10 million euros.
